What a Cache River! The artifact is made from a heavily patinated
Attica Chert. As you can see the finder's name (Arnold Richter), and
the farm where the piece was found is written in marker on one side.
Arnold and Dale Richter, a father and son would write their names
on each artifact they found. Their writing on artifact's became know
as Richterizing. If you want to remove the marker acetone or a
heavy duty paint stripper will probably remove it, but I'll leave
that up to the buyer.

I would type this piece as a Little Bear Creek. This would be
rare considering it's from LaSalle County, Illinois and this
type of point is generally found in the southern states. The
material is a brown form of Burlington.

Snyders point with a couple of nicks. One nick is to one
ear and the other nick is on the corner of the base. This
piece would be priced much higher if not for the nicks. I
believe the material is Hornstone, but on Jackson's COA
he says its Cobden. Jackson COA included.
