I've owned some nice axes over the years and this Porphyry three quarter
grooved axe is one of the finer one's. I bought this artifact from
"The Axe Man" himself, Bruce Filbrandt. The axe is highly developed
with deep flutes on both sides and high raised ridges. It's 100%
polished with unbelievable symmetry. The color's of the stone are
green and gray combined with the cream colored porphyry, translates to one
spectacular axe. The artifact comes with an original Bruce Filbrandt
drawing.

This isthe second axe I have decided to let go. A super
high polished
Missouri Square made from a dark brown hardstone. There are a
couple of ancient chips, but they are polished over from continued
use of the axe. The artifact has great balance and symmetry and
could fit into almost anyone's axe case.

I can't say enough about this huge celt. The celt is made from a wirey
green granite with outstanding bit wear, and the artifact is fully polished.
The artifact is very stylized for a celt from Illinois. The celt comes
with a Meadows COA dated 2/28/09.

A very well made flared bit celt. This wirey granite artifact
has a overall polish of 70%, from the tip of the bit to where
the hafting begins.
